Kid's Craft A Great Mother's Day Gift
Supplies
Instructions1. With wire cutters, trim off the pocket holder tab from the cap of the pen. Making the Rose Pen 2. With wire cutters, cut the rose stem 1 inch below the bloom. 3. Glue the remaining stem to the tip of the pen.
4. Wrap the whole pen, starting at the base of the rose, covering the glue, with floral tape down to the top edge of the cap.
5.Hot glue the edge of the fabric strip to the base of the rose and wind tightly around the pen, covering the floral tape.
6. Secure the edge of the fabric above the cap with hot glue.
Decopaging the pot 7.Spread plastic or paper over the work surface. 8. Pour out a small amount of white glue into a disposable plate. 9. With the pot upside down, spread a thin layer of glue over a small area of the pot, then press a torn piece of tissue paper into the glue. Smooth the paper in place with the brush. It is okay if it wrinkles, but make sure it is tight to the pot with no air bubbles. The paper should have glue completely under and over it.
10. Repeat this until the pot is covered with paper. Leave the bottom clean but make sure the paper is applied to the inside edge of the pot at least far enough to be below where the foam and moss will be. 11. Allow this to dry for several hours. 12. When the pot is dry, push the foam ball into the pot until it is snug. 13. Push the pen cap into the center of the foam until it is embedded and flush with the surface.
14. Hot glue the moss to the foam ball, leaving the opening of the cap exposed. 15. Finish the project by tying a pretty ribbon just below the bloom. (see finished project photo above)
