Livvy Has A Secret

Livvy sits and wiggles

because she can't be still.

She made a vow to never say,

and so she never will.

But ever since she gave her

word and promised not to tell,

the silly thing's been blowing up,

and she's begun to swell.

She gasps to see the bubbles

that used to be her toes.

And while she looks in horror,

it happens to her nose.

But even though it doesn't stop

and Livvy keeps on swelling,

she keeps her word because

she knows she,

couldn't,

wouldn't,

shouldn't

ever be caught telling.

And then before she knows it,

she is floating to the ceiling.

Up,up, up she goes.

And just when she is feeling

if she doesn't let it out real soon,

then surely she will burst.

She remembers that she promised

and the promise must come first!

But as she floats around the room

like a pretty pink balloon,

she becomes alarmed (and rightly so)

that she'll end up on the moon.

"No matter what, I'll never tell!"

Livvy finally has to shout, because

she knows inside her heart she,

couldn't,

wouldn't,

shouldn't

let the secret out.

And so some sunny afternoon,

if you are gazing at the sky,

you might see

something like a bubble

drifting slowly by.

Don't be afraid, don't be confused,

it's only you-know-who,

still keeping that big secret,

'cause it's what she said she'd do!
