Thanksgiving

Dear Ones,

Thanksgiving---oh, what I am thankful for!!!   Kind and gentle people.  Sweet and innocent folks--you see a lot of this in the elderly and in children---and in the pure in heart.  It shows in their eyes.   I am thankful for the folks who can say what's on their minds and who can express their feelings.  It seems that so many are afraid to do this--instead they tapdance all around the topics on their minds and leave others completely bewildered and unsettled.  Not good for harmonious and loving relationships.

I am thankful for life---I am alive.  What a gift!!!   I am thinkful for choices---I can choose what I will do today.  That leads me to freedom--I am thankful for the freedom to choose.  I am thankful for family--if it weren't for them I wouldn't exist.  I think often of the ancestors, the ones long gone and wonder if they can hear me when I talk to them.  What sweet memories I have of them.  I am thankful for memories.

I am thankful for forgiveness--forgiveness given in advance of offense as Christ gave to us.  Forgiving in advance lightens one's burdens dramatically---carrying and keeping track of offenses gets to be such a burden.  Forgive in advance and be at peace.

I am thankful for friends, that bond holds across space and time.  I am thankful for being thankful---thankfulness heals the heart.
