Dear Ones,

I thought I had better sit down and write and let you all know that I am still
alive and well. I have been cleaning out closets. Amazing the "precious” stuff I have accumulated over the years primarily for craft work. I must have thought I would live three lifetimes considering all that I have collected. I have concluded that collecting is addictive in itself. It is good to go thru, sort out and pass on or dump the stuff I know I won't use. And I have found good homes for some of this so that makes me feel good and righteous :) :) as well.

I woke up this morning to a gray day, skies, rooftops, the grass all frosted. We have snow predicted for tomorrow and Monday. It’s a good day to bake, make cranberry relish, and cook my sweet potatoes. I cooked the ham that I got at the store last week and have put up nice pieces in the freezer to use later in beans or in split pea soup. I made a nice pot of vegetable soup with lots of cabbage and used some of the ham in it as well.

Yesterday I went to the store. Busy, busy, busy! It was fun tho, watching the holiday shoppers. The folks were visiting and smiling. It appears that the holiday mood has caught on. Well, I had better get back to work, still have stuff pulled out of the closets and so can't stop now.

I hope you all are well, healthy and happy. Let me hear from you when you can.

Love, Mom
